Yesterday, with the House meeting in pro forma session,
there were 38 bills introduced. One of those bills will receive additional
coverage in this blog:

To authorize appropriations for fiscal year 2023 for military
activities of the Department of Defense and for military construction, to
prescribe military personnel strengths for such fiscal year, and for other
purposes. Rep. Smith, Adam [D-WA-9]

This bill will be the National Defense Authorization Act for
FY 2023. Actually, as introduced, this bill is the skeleton for that Act. The
House Armed Services Committee and its various subcommittees will be holding
hearings over the next couple of weeks to markup that skeleton, producing the
final bill that will further amended by the full House.
